What are the differences between the various data logger software programs that Veriteq offers?
Veriteq currently offers seven separate data logger software programs with which customers can use to interface to their data loggers:
- Spectrum Software is Veriteq's standard software offering. It includes complete data logger communication, graphing and reporting functions that work with all Veriteq data logger models.
- vLog Software also offers complete data logger communication, graphing and reporting functions but is designed specifically for validation applications in strict regulatory environments (such as pharmaceutical manufacturing). It includes special security features that are designed to protect data logger and file integrity to satisfy the scrutiny of agencies such as the FDA. It also includes calibration tracking information and detailed graph and tabular reports to ensure secure and verified documented results.
- Veriteq sGo is software designed to work on a Palm PDA. It allows customers to set up and download data logger information easily in the field without needing a laptop.
- Veriteq viewLinc is designed for customers who want to stay connected with their data loggers so they can monitor them continuously as they collect data. The program features PC desktop "views" and user-configurable alarming.
- The Spectrum API (Applications Programming Interface) is designed for customers who need to communicate directly with Veriteq data loggers through their own Windows-based programs. The program is ideal for OEM customers or for those who must process logger data using other programs.
- The Spectrum Excel Add-in program is a special free utility that allows customers to setup and download Veriteq data loggers directly within Microsoft Excel.

Can I incorporate data from different data loggers into the same graph?
Yes. One of the strengths of the Veriteq data logging system is that data can be collected on a completely independent basis by different, distantly-located data loggers, then combined and synchronized for viewing in one graphing file. For example, you can create a single graph that plots relative humidity readings with other data like pressure, voltage, PH and temperature. This modular ability allows you to easily analyze interactions between systems without requiring large or hard-wired data acquisition equipment.

Can I take my data logger readings into Excel or another spreadsheet program?
Yes you can. Spectrum Software allows you to export data logger files into tab-delimited or comma-delimited ASCII files, both of which are accepted by spreadsheet programs, including Excel. You can also access data logger functions and files directly from within Excel by using the Spectrum Excel Add-in.

I have recently upgraded my Spectrum Software to the latest version. Will this new software work with my existing Veriteq loggers and files?
Yes. Each version of Spectrum Software is designed with what's called "backward compatibility". This means that it will work with all previous Veriteq data loggers and files created from those loggers.
I have recently purchased a new Veriteq data logger. Will it work with my older version of Spectrum Software?
Not always. In our pursuit of continual product improvement, we periodically upgrade data logger hardware or release new data logger models. Unfortunately, these changes may not be recognizable by an older version of Spectrum Software and can result in difficulties. For that reason, each Veriteq data logger that you purchase includes a note indicating which software version it must be used with. The safest choice is to always upgrade to the latest version of Spectrum Software.
