More Veriteq Loggers on the International Space Station

April 19, 2004 - Another Veriteq data logger headed off to the International Space Station today; one of 51 Veriteq loggers currently being used on the Station. This project is part of the European Space Agency's DELTA mission.

The launch took place from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan and carried a Veriteq SP-4000 voltage, current, and temperature data logger.

The use of Veriteq SP-4000 data loggers is part of an award-winning student led experiment, called BugNRG, designed to study the effects of microgravity on the output and efficiency of bacterial fuel cells. The study will monitor fuel-cell output in the form of voltage and current as measured and recorded by the Veriteq data logger. The data logger will also measure and record container temperature conditions related to the experiment.

According to the experiment's designer, Veriteq SP-4000 data loggers were ideal for the project due to their small size, 10 year battery and ability to precisely measure and record multiple values; in this case voltage, current and temperature.

For more information on the BugNRG project, refer to the PowerPoint presentation created by the study sponsors.

viewLinc 1.20 adds Table Views and Automated Downloads

February 24, 2004 - Veriteq announced today the release of a new version of its viewLinc data logger monitoring & alarming software. The new release includes two new modules, TableViewer and TransferScheduler, designed to make it easier to monitor and manage large numbers of remotely connected data loggers.

The new TableViewer module allows users to display real-time data from multiple data loggers in a single desktop window. Using a condensed tabular display format, the module provides a convenient method for displaying data from, and managing alarms for, a large number of connected data loggers.

The new TransferScheduler module enables users to automatically download data from any data logger on a network directly to their PC, thus eliminating the need for manual operations. Users can schedule one time, daily, weekly, or monthly transfers of data to suit their requirements.
