Veriteq Welcomes Ken Appel as New VP of Marketing

October 23, 2008—Veriteq Instruments today announced the appointment of Ken Appel as the company’s new Vice President of Marketing.

“Coalescing our current growth and plans to expand with market development and rising sales worldwide, it is critical to build on our strategic resources,” says Veriteq’s CEO, Kevin Bull. “Ken brings technical marketing management with an extensive background in helping identify and direct market opportunities and build company brand. His first priorities will be to strengthen support for Veriteq’s North American and European sales initiatives and channels.”

Before joining Veriteq, Appel was Business Unit Manager of Felton, responsible for strategic direction, sales and marketing for the aerospace, automotive, mass transit and other regulated industries. Previously, he was the Director of Marketing at Kaye Instruments, where his expertise helped create their worldwide reputation in thermal validation. Mr. Appel has also played key marketing and communications roles at Analogic and Siemens.

Veriteq Welcomes Megacal as Distributor in Spain & Portugal

October 21, 2008—Veriteq Instruments welcomes Megacal Instruments, an ISO 9001 certified service provider and distributor of environmental test instruments. Megacal will now provide Veriteq’s industry leading systems for temperature and humidity monitoring and validation throughout Spain and Portugal.

Of incorporating Megacal into Veriteq’s growing list of distributors, Veriteq’s CEO Kevin Bull says, “Their dedication to product quality and the fact that they supply industries that require accredited calibration make Megacal a great fit as a distributor. Veriteq's Next-Generation Data Loggers: Now Shipping

June 1, 2008 - We redesigned our data loggers to provide improved connectivity options, including Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Wireless and a more rugged, tamper-proof exterior.

The new data loggers allow for simplified connectivity via the soon-to-be released data logger cradle, which will feature a built-in Ethernet port. The new cradles, which will contain the hardware for PoE, will begin shipping fall 2008.
