OPC Software: Interoperable Monitoring & Alarming with Veriteq Data Loggers

OPC Server - Definition & Benefits

OPC is a software interface standard that allows Windows™-based programs to communicate with a variety of hardware devices. It does this by converting a non-standard or proprietary language within a program into an OPC protocol. The OPC-client software is then able to connect the data to the Human Machine Interface (HMI).

The value of OPC is that it is an open standard, which means lower costs for manufacturers and more options for users. Hardware manufacturers need only provide a single OPC server for their devices to communicate with any OPC client. Software vendors simply include OPC-client capabilities in their products and they become instantly compatible with thousands of hardware devices.

The real winner is the customer; OPC means the architecture of their environmental monitoring systems can be more tailored to the needs of each application.

Veriteq's OPC Interface

Incredibly easy to use, our OPC Server interface features a standard Explorer window format that allows you to click and point connections between data loggers and their HMI. Quickly view various Veriteq data loggers on your current monitoring system:
