Type E Thermocouple Performance Data

The following charts document the performance of Veriteq 1700 Thermocouple data loggers when used with Type E (Chromel-Constantan) thermocouples.

Type E Temperature Measuring Range

1700-series Logger Version Type E Measuring Range

(°C.)

(°F.)

Wide Range "W" models -50 to 740 -58 to 1365

Narrow Range "N" models -110 to 140 -165 to 280

Type E Temperature Measurement Accuracy

The following graph details the instrument accuracy of the Veriteq 1700 Thermocouple data logger over the rated Type E measurement ranges for both Wide Range ("W") models (top graph line) and Narrow range ("N") models.
Type E Temperature Accuracy Graph

Instrument accuracy is based on a 25° C. cold junction temperature. Probe errors and probe temperature range limitations are excluded.

About Type E Thermocouples

Type E thermocouples are made up of a positive Chromel wire and a negative Constantan wire. Type E thermocouples have the highest voltage output of any standard thermocouple type and thus can offer superior temperature resolution.
