Veriteq viewLinc System Diagram

The following diagram illustrates how a viewLinc system can be set up to provide continuous monitoring of data logger readings across a local area network.

In the diagram there are several computers in different areas, all connected to the same network. Some computers have data loggers attached, and some do not. All, however, have the capability to view information from other "hosted" data loggers on the network.

Example viewLinc Application Setup

Product storage area - Four data loggers hosted
Optical Lab - One RH/Temperature data logger hosted and monitored
Calibration Manager Office - PC is used to monitor data loggers in Optical & Dimensional Labs
Environmental Chamber - Two RH/Temperature data loggers hosted & monitored
QA Manager Office - PC is used to monitor Production area data loggers
Dimensional Lab - Two data loggers hosted & monitored
Facility Manager Office - PC is used to monitor various data loggers in facility
Production Area - Eight data loggers hosted and monitored

Notes:

  1. For a data logger's readings to be "viewable" by other computers on the network, it must first be "hosted" by a PC. To act as a "host", the PC must have the viewLinc Host software installed as well as the appropriate interface cables to attach to the data loggers.
  2. To be able to "view" other data loggers on the network, a PC must be installed with Veriteq viewLinc "Viewer" software.
